What Each Clinic's Price Actually Covers

2 of 39 TRT clinics we track publish a price you can rely on. One number, verified live, with nothing material left out of it. The rest advertise something real, but the number means something different depending on the clinic. This page sorts all 39 into which one applies, by the same rule for every listing.

We run this exact classification on our sister site too: 2 of 39 TRT clinics publish a reliable all-in price, versus 5 of 34 GLP-1 weight-loss clinics. Same rule, applied to two different niches. As far as we know, nobody else publishes this comparison, because nobody else classifies both.

TRT Price Transparency Index, October 2026

How much of a clinic's real cost you can see before you pay, scored 0 to 100 from six things we read on each clinic's own site. 5 of 39 clinics score 100; 12publish no price we could check. This index measures disclosure, not quality of care, and it never changes a clinic's score or its place in any of our lists.

Lab costs: 15 points when both the first and the follow-up labs are stated as included or priced, 8 when one of them is. Anything we have not read, or that the clinic does not say, scores 0: silence is not counted in a clinic's favour. Each fact links to its source on the clinic's review page. Updated on the 1st of every month (method 2026-10-14.1).

What you cannot find out before you pay

Every other section on this page is about the prices clinics do publish. This one is about the two things almost none of them will tell you, which we only know because we read all 39 of their pages on the same day and wrote down the silences.

1. Whether the price you sign up at is the price you keep

Of the 37 clinics whose pages we could read, essentially none states whether the rate holds after the first month. Not “most don't”. We went looking for a sentence saying the price rises, or that it doesn't, and on page after page there isn't one.

The two exceptions are worth stating precisely, because neither is a disclosure:

What to ask at intake:“Is this rate introductory, and what will I be charged in month two and month six?” Get the answer in writing before you give a card. A clinic that will not put it in writing has told you something.

2. What bloodwork will cost you

Labs are the cost most likely to change what you actually pay, and 14 of the 37 readable clinics will not tell you what they cost. 10 never mention the subject at all, and 4 say labs are extra while declining to say how much.

What to ask at intake:“Is bloodwork included, and if not, what is the first-year total and the renewal?” Peter MD answers it unprompted ($340 the first year, $115 a year after) which is why its real first year is nearer $1,528 than the $1,188 its headline implies. The clinics in the “intake extra, follow-up labs included” row answer the other half: the first panel is on you, the monitoring after it is not.

All of it read on 11 September 2026 – 14 October 2026from each clinic's own pages, rendered in a browser rather than fetched as raw HTML. Counts on this page are computed from the data at build time, so they cannot drift from what the review pages say.

What Moved Since Our Last Check

This is not an accusation.A membership fee with medication billed separately, or a price that depends on an individual evaluation, is a legal and common way to price a telehealth service. Plenty of the clinics doing it are otherwise well-run. The problem isn't that these pricing shapes exist; it's that a table sorting every clinic into one “price” column compares figures that were never measuring the same thing.
3 of the 9price shapes we check for don't appear among these 39 clinics: flat at every dose, one ongoing rate, first-month rate that rises. That's not a gap in the research: we checked every one of these 39 clinics for the exact same evidence field (priceStability) that produces those categories on the sister site, and none of them currently has it set. TRT pricing on this list is, so far, structurally simpler than GLP-1's. Not more honestly disclosed, just simpler in practice. That can change at the next re-verification, and this page will change with it.

How we classify every price

Each provider is sorted into exactly one category below, computed from the same evidence behind every review on this site: how the clinic structures its pricing, whether we could confirm the price on the clinic's own page, and how stable that price has been. The bar for the top category is strict on purpose: a price only counts as reliable when the provider itself documents that the consultation and delivery are included. If a clinic's own page is simply silent about a commitment term, we don't read that silence as proof the fee doesn't exist.

Publishes a reliable all-in price2 of 39

Rule: Verified live, pricingModel is "flat-all-inclusive" (the provider's own page states consult, prescription and shipping are bundled into the one number), and nothing in our evidence flags an undisclosed commitment or step-up.

What it means for you: The number you see is the number you'd actually pay, as far as we can confirm.

Rate holds? Not stated17 of 39

Rule: Verified live, and the clinic publishes a usable number. But `priceStability` is "unstated": we read the page looking for a sentence saying the rate rises after the first period, or saying it holds, and there is neither.

What it means for you: The price is real today. Whether it is still the price in month two is something the clinic does not say, and we will not guess on its behalf.

"From" price5 of 39

Rule: Verified live, pricingModel is "tiered", and the cheapest tier carries an undisclosed or confirmed-locked commitment (priceStability "unconfirmed-commitment" or "locked-commitment"). The true cost depends on which plan or term you are actually held to.

What it means for you: The advertised number is a floor, not a quote. What you pay depends on a plan length or bundle the page doesn't fully spell out.

Membership excludes medication2 of 39

Rule: Verified live, pricingModel is "membership-plus-meds". The provider's own page bills a recurring membership fee, with the testosterone medication itself billed separately on top.

What it means for you: The advertised figure is an entry fee, not the cost of treatment. The real monthly total is the membership plus a separate medication charge.

Individualized rate1 of 39

Rule: Verified live, pricingModel is "individualized". The provider publishes a typical figure or a starting floor, but states that the actual price is set only after an individual evaluation (history, labs, goals).

What it means for you: The number shown is a starting point, not a quote for you specifically. Your real price depends on an evaluation the provider hasn't done yet.

Total not verified12 of 39

Rule: Either the provider publishes no price at all before intake, or we could not reconfirm a previously-recorded price against the provider's own live page at our last check.

What it means for you: We don't currently have a number we can stand behind for this provider, in either direction.

Every Clinic, Sorted by Category

Same order as above. “Last checked” is the date we last checked this specific clinic's own live price page, whether or not that check confirmed the number. Where a price has moved, we show the full series. A price that has changed before will change again.

Categories and dates on this page are recomputed automatically from our clinic records every time the site is updated. Nothing here is written by hand per clinic. Price history comes from our own dated record of every price change we have made, not from a third party, so it only goes back to when we started tracking each clinic. For the full scoring methodology, see the editorial policy. For a price-sorted ranking instead of this breakdown, see cheapest clinics.

Download the price index

Advertised starting prices for the 39 clinics TRT Picks reviews, each read on the clinic's own website with the date it was checked, plus twelve-month cost where we could compute it and every recorded price change. No score, rank or affiliate link is in the files; clinics are listed alphabetically.

How to cite

Please cite the index with the date of the data, so a reader can tell which prices you used:

TRT Picks. TRT clinic price index, data as of Oct 14, 2026. https://www.trtpicks.com/price-transparency

Free to use with that attribution. A price is what the clinic advertised on the date shown, not what a patient is billed; check the clinic before relying on it.

Data API

Every number on this page, plus the full price-history series per clinic, is also available as JSON at GET /api/prices. www.trtpicks.com/api/prices. Open, CORS-enabled, no key required.

What the data isn't:each clinic's starting price is the price the clinic advertises on the page we cite, on the date we read it. Not what a patient is actually billed. We've found the two differ often enough (see Peter MD's review for one documented case) that anyone using this feed should know that's the distinction we're drawing, not a guarantee about checkout.

27 of 39clinics have a price we confirmed on the clinic's own page right now. The rest are marked unverified (an old price we couldn't re-confirm live) or not published (consult-only pricing). That status ships in the feed for every clinic. This is a dataset that tells you which entries it doesn't stand behind, not just the ones it does.

For each clinic the feed gives its starting price, how its pricing is structured, whether the price is confirmed, the date we last read it, and the dated list of every price we have published for it.

Versioning:the feed carries a version number, and it is a real commitment, not a formality. Field names and shape won't change silently under something you've already linked to or built against. A breaking change bumps to 2.0 with a documented deprecation window, not a quiet reshape. Free to use with attribution to trtpicks.com.
