FDA states it reviewed joiandblokes.com (FDA Establishment Identifier 3044021205) in March 2026 and found the site offering compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide products with false or misleading claims under the same theory as the Maximus letter above, making the products misbranded under FDCA sections 502(a) and 502(bb) [21 U.S.C. §§ 352(a), 352(bb)]. "Joi and Blokes" is the legal/operating entity behind blokes.co, which redirects to joiandblokes.com. Confirmed via direct domain match. Concerns compounded-GLP-1 marketing, not Blokes' TRT program specifically.

Joi + Blokes' Terms list Empower Pharmacy as one of seven pharmacies that may fill its prescriptions, without saying which fills testosterone. This letter is addressed to Empower's 503A pharmacy at 7601 N. Sam Houston Pkwy W., Houston. The products the letter names are GLP-1 injections, not testosterone; its sterile-processing and CGMP findings are about the facility. Issued by Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). Subject: CGMP/Finished Pharmaceuticals/Adulterated/Unapproved New Drug. Posted 2026-09-22. No closeout letter posted.
Following an inspection of the Houston facility at 7601 N. Sam Houston Pkwy W., Ste. 100 from November 3 to November 14, 2025, FDA states that the pharmacy "compounded drug products that are essentially copies of commercially available drug products regularly and in inordinate amounts", naming TIRZEPATIDE/NIACINAMIDE and SEMAGLUTIDE/CYANOCOBALAMIN injections, so those products lost the section 503A exemptions and are described as unapproved new drugs and misbranded. FDA also states that sterile products were "prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions, whereby they may have become contaminated with filth or rendered injurious to health" (inadequate smoke studies in the ISO 5 area, media fills not run under the most challenging conditions) and lists five CGMP violations. FDA found some corrective actions adequate, could not evaluate others, and called the documentation of the January 2026 media fill deficient.

Following an inspection of the Houston 503A facility at 7601 N Sam Houston Pkwy W, Ste 100 from September 24 to October 4, 2024, FDA states that drug products intended to be sterile were "prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions, whereby they may have become contaminated with filth or rendered injurious to health": routine environmental monitoring did not sample the critical area where aseptic processing happens, media fills were not run under the most challenging conditions, and equipment in the ISO 5 area that touches stoppers for injectable products was not sterilized.

Following an inspection of Empower's 503B outsourcing facility at 5980 West Sam Houston Parkway North, Suite 300, Houston from February 12 to March 6, 2020, FDA states that drugs it produced failed the conditions for the 503B exemptions: products including Testosterone Cypionate in GSO 200mg/ml injectable, HCG, FSH and Menotropins lacked the adverse-event reporting information required on the container, and the facility did not submit complete six-monthly reports of the drugs it compounded (December 2019 and June 2020). The letter also cites the CGMP and insanitary-conditions requirements that apply to outsourcing facilities.
