The trade-off is depth, not breadth of oversight. Men with complex hormonal profiles who want extensive ancillary management (anastrozole, HCG, peptide protocols) will outgrow it faster than men who just need straightforward, affordable, medically-supervised TRT.

Peter MD is a value brand, not a concierge service. Efficient, protocol-driven care rather than 40-60-marker deep-dive panels. It prescribes compounded testosterone cypionate (prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy), not an FDA-approved commercial brand like AndroGel. The standard model across nearly all telehealth TRT, not a red flag on its own.
Watch out for
⚠️ 2026-08-30 RE-CHECK: the BBB F-rating and complaint details this section previously cited (sourced 2026-08-29 from a profile for "Peter MD, Vero Beach FL") could not be relocated. A direct BBB search for getpetermd.com, gopetermd.com, and "PeterMD" each returned zero matching businesses. We're retracting that specific claim rather than let it stand unconfirmed; if a BBB profile resurfaces under a different listed name, we'll re-add it with a link. Update 12 October 2026: the "PeterMD" BBB profile in Tulsa, OK now links getpetermd.com, so we now count it as Peter MD's own. It is rated A+, accredited since 9 August 2026, with 22 complaints in 3 years (see Third-party records on this page). The older Vero Beach F rating stays retracted. What we CAN independently confirm as of this check: Peter MD's primary Trustpilot page (linked from getpetermd.com) remains removed for violating Trustpilot's guidelines. A separate, claimed Trustpilot profile exists for petermd.org (2.7/5 from 22 reviews, read 2026-10-08; it was 2.8/5 from 12 on our earlier read) describing non-delivery and money held 45+ days without shipment, the same pattern this section already flagged. Two of Peter MD's own site links go nowhere real, and it's the same broken trail both times: gopetermd.com's "Terms and Conditions" link redirects to petermd.us, which redirects again to getpetermd.com's homepage (not any terms document). And its footer's "HIPAA Compliance" link does the identical thing, resolving to that same homepage instead of any HIPAA notice. Two separate compliance badges pointing at the same dead end is a pattern, not a coincidence. Peter MD operates across four domains (gopetermd.com, getpetermd.com, petermd.org, petermd.us) with no relationship disclosed between them, and no legal entity name (LLC/Inc) was found anywhere (not on either live site's footer, not in that broken link trail, and not on any BBB profile we could find. Every other provider on this site publishes at least a findable entity name. ⚠️ WHAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY CHARGED AT SIGNUP IS NOT PUBLISHED (checked 2026-09-16). The cheap monthly rate is real and it is published: the campaign page our link lands on advertises $79/mo and Peter MD's public site advertises $99/mo, and both figures are per month) the public page even prints "$1,188 ANNUAL COST", which is exactly 12 x $99, so there is no hidden multi-month unit behind the headline. What is missing is the shape of the payment. Neither page states what is billed when you sign up: there is no up-front total, no prepay term, no minimum and no commitment language on either surface, and the campaign page's own FAQ asks "How much does testosterone therapy cost?" and then answers nothing at all. On top of that the brand publishes two different monthly rates on two of its own domains ($79 and $99) without saying which applies to whom. One secondhand customer account (unverified, and Peter MD's main Trustpilot profile is removed. See above) describes signing up at $99 and being charged $144, told afterwards that $99 was introductory. We have not been able to confirm or refute that, because confirming it means walking the real signup flow to a payment screen, which no check of ours has done. So: treat $79-$99 as a published monthly rate and the first charge as unknown, and read the checkout total before you agree to it.

How sign-up works, on Peter MD's own page: after you buy a program, a representative contacts you within 24 hours to collect documents and set up blood work, and once onboarding is complete a consult with one of its US-licensed physicians is scheduled within 24 hours. Accredited since 2026-08-09; file opened 2026-07-27. On 2026-08-30 we dismissed this listing as a name collision because it showed no domain link; that no longer holds. The older "F rating, Vero Beach, FL" claim stays retracted: no such profile was found.

Transparency is capped at 5.0. On its tirzepatide page, Peter MD says “We offer a compounded version the combines an active B vitamin.” and “Tirzepatide (AKA: Zepbound)”. The product is compounded, and the same page does not say it is not FDA-approved. FDA's March 2026 warning letters to telehealth companies cited claims implying sameness with FDA-approved drugs.
